Maxime Le Pendeven is an Energy Sales Manager at Cosmo Tech. He answered our questions while working remotely.

What’s a typical day like for you?

Each day is unique with a lot of unexpected events and to me, that’s very exciting! One thing that is great about my job is that I get to spend a lot of time interacting with different people – customers, prospects, partners, and internal teams – from Europe and around the world. Specifically, when it comes to customers, I take the time to talk to them to help them find the best solutions to answer their needs. Our customers often realize their problems are complex. For instance, how can they reduce their cost parallel to maintain an acceptable risk and an important quality of service? Or how to improve their investments without augmenting HR costs? I show them how our Augmented Intelligence technology, based on complex system modelling, may answer a lot of different issues.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?

I am passionate about the energy sector and its digital evolution, and by the amazing possibilities Cosmo Tech’s Augmented Intelligence technology provides. So, one of the most challenging aspects of my job is to “evangelize” all the market stakeholders to the benefits of Augmented Intelligence. The idea of AI is still fairly new; when people hear AI, they assume Artificial Intelligence. However, Augmented Intelligence goes further than that and my job is to show the many benefits it can provide. I believe that people can see how passionate I am about these sectors and that makes them want to learn more.

What’s a sector or emerging trend you are excited to explore in the coming months?

The energy sector is increasingly evolving, and all the stakeholders are now aware that they must digitize their processes to gain on performance, save on cost, and be more competitive. And that’s where my job comes in. I help customers with their digital transition by proposing our Augmented Intelligence solutions based on their needs and issues. Not only is the energy sector evolving, but companies are beginning to embrace Augmented Intelligence, in realizing that it will aid their processes. In this sector and worldwide, I am excited to see what the future brings because I think that Augmented Intelligence technology could potentially combine with other technologies, such as IoT, and increase the effectiveness of Energy Utilities.
