Fernanda is a Business Developer at Cosmo Tech. She answered our questions from the Cosmo Tech headquarters in Lyon, France.

 

What’s your background and how did you end up at Cosmo Tech?

 

Originally, I’m from Mexico and I arrived in Lyon in September 2014 as an exchange student. I really loved the city, so I stayed and started my master’s degree in Business Development and International Commerce. During my master’s degree, I worked in “alternance” and gained experience in business development strategies as well as international sales and marketing.

 

I started working at Cosmo Tech after I saw an interesting job offer on LinkedIn. The thing that interested me the most was this innovative and fresh view that they projected, and I wanted to try something new, so I applied and after 2 interviews I started working for Cosmo Tech as a Business Developer.

 

You speak Spanish, French, and English. How often do you get to use these languages and in what capacity?

 

I get to use Spanish a lot, as a big percentage of my job is developing the Spanish market. I get to travel there for business meetings, workshops, and shows, so it’s great for me to get to speak my mother tongue.

 

Regarding English, we have several international employees with whom we communicate in English with most of the time. Additionally, when at international shows, I frequently meet prospects from different nationalities that are interested by our solutions, so I get to speak English with them and I love it!

 

And finally, I use French in my everyday life. I will say that is the language that I use the most nowadays, as I work in France, I speak French every day with my colleagues and with my friends.

 

 

What’s a sector or emerging trend you are excited to explore in the coming months?

 

Nowadays the energy sector is confronting several challenges like energy transition, aging assets, and financial pressure. Cosmo Tech offers solutions that tackle these challenges. Customers are able to have a larger view of their systems, improve their performance, save expenses and they are also able to choose the optimal decisions in their strategies.

 

I’m looking forward to seeing how Cosmo Tech’s technology will be capable to help and see all these energy companies overcoming their challenges, but also to go along with them through time to understand and help them tackle the different challenges that the future could bring.
