Cosmo Tech will be attending the World Congress on Engineering Asset Management in Stavanger, Norway on 25 September.

 

Chief Technology Officer Thomas Lacroix will be presenting his research paper titled “A Digital Model of Physical Assets for Long Term Network Resiliency“. The paper focuses on how asset management decisions in energy networks can leverage a new system-driven dynamic aging model which considers systems reliability and resilience. The paper was written in partnership with RTE’s Pierre Stevenin and outlines the benefits of using Cosmo Tech’s Asset solution to optimize asset management strategies.

 

WCEAM is a three-day event taking place in Norway from 24 to 26 September in collaboration with Nordic Edge Expo and the Annual World Congress of the International Society of Engineering Asset Management (ISEAM). The congress is attended by global experts of diverse disciplines related to engineering asset and public infrastructures, representing both public and private sectors from all over the world. The event includes papers, presentations, workshops, seminars, training sessions, and round-table events for both the academic and industrial community. WCEAM covers a range of technical themes that are important to asset owners, operators, producers, technology developers, service providers, public institutions and the academic and research community. Sectors concerned include oil & gas, the refining industry, nuclear, hydropower, renewable energy, and much more.

 

The objective of WCEAM is to promote research, development, and application in the field of Engineering Asset Management as well as to strengthen the link between academic research and industrial practitioners in the field. Peer-reviewers of World Congress nominate top quality papers and industry cases, where winners will receive the prestigious World Congress Awards in front of a distinguished audience. Categories include the best paper award in Asset Economics and Investment Decisions; Asset Health, Diagnostics, and Prognostics; Asset Information and Data Management; and Asset Risk and Safety. WCEAM also provides destination prizes, where randomly drawn winners receive accommodation and tour packages at the destination.

 

Lacroix and Stevenin’s paper also be published in the Springer ebook titled “Engineering Assets and Public Infrastructures in the Age of Digitalization”, subtitled “Proceedings for the 13th World Congress on Engineering Asset Management.” Past proceedings are available on the Springerlink website.
