Cosmo Tech’s UK team will be present at Utility Week Live 23 – 24 May.
Taking place in Birmingham, UK, Cosmo Tech’s Aaron Foreshaw and Pete Massey will be heading to Utility Week Live (UWL) to stay informed on the innovative changes taking place in the utilities sector. Previously having attended the Water Industry Asset Management Conference, their participation will help ensure Cosmo Tech is able to remain ahead of the game when it comes to the needs of utilities customers and what problems they are facing. Cosmo Tech already has a leg up with their augmented intelligence solutions, which provide utility companies the ability to model and simulate complex scenarios to accurately predict the outcome of events, even if those events have never happened before.
The theme this year is ‘Disruption and Opportunity’, which takes a look about on how disruptive innovation is required to solve the utility challenges of tomorrow. This theme examines disruptive new technologies, product solutions, and emerging business models, which are transforming the way gas, water, and electricity utilities do business. For more information on the theme, they’ve put together a series of special reports on their website, exploring disruptive companies, technologies, and regulations, among others. Partners include Network Magazine, Utility Week, WWT, and WET News, as well as several well-known sponsors such as Microsoft and Fujitsu.
Amidst the usual conferences, networking, and demonstrations, UWL will also be holding a 24-hour Hackathon, which gives teams of hackers 24 hours to design and build prototypes to help solve a real-world industries problem. The solutions will then be used for future implementation across the UK industries, demonstrating how the power of creativity and technology can help solve the challenges of climate change, population growth, and affordability. The UWL Hack will run both days of the conference.
With more than 3,000 utilities professionals, 500+ exhibitors and innovators, and 250+ presentations from transformations leaders and gas, water, and electricity game-changers, it’s hard to believe that the event is free to attend. Tickets are still available on their website.
