Cosmo Tech, the world leader in Augmented Intelligence for Critical Infrastructure, has been named to the prestigious Global Cleantech 100 for the second successive year.

Following on from a successful 2017 which included awards from Red Herring in Europe, North America, and globally, too, the Lyon-based technology company welcomed its first major international recognition for 2018.

“Cosmo Tech’s Augmented Intelligence platform enables decision makers to make optimal choices today while understanding the impacts of those choices on their businesses and the environment in the near and long-term future,” said Cosmo Tech co-founder and CEO Hugues de Bantel. “Firms that manage large networks of critical infrastructure assets, and that seek to optimize their investment in those networks while maintaining their commitment to environmental protection can find enormous value in Cosmo Tech’s software, and that’s why we have been named to the Global Cleantech 100 for a second year.”

Cosmo Tech co-founder and Executive President Michel Morvan was on hand in San Francisco to accept the award at the annual Cleantech Forum. Morvan spoke to the quality of the companies on the 2018 Global Cleantech 100 list, and also to the pedigree of the laureates past and present.

“The Global Cleantech 100 has included some of the world’s best-known companies including airbnb and C3 energy, and I’m proud that Cosmo Tech has once again joined that number,” he said. “As critical infrastructure managers increasingly realise their responsibilities to future generations and to environmental protection, Cosmo Tech’s unique modeling and simulation software offers them a chance to apply Augmented Intelligence to decisions with impacts far beyond common near-term windows measured in just weeks and months.”

The annual list is the Cleantech group’s reading of the global innovation community’s shifting views on which companies, and which types of companies, are most likely to have big commercial impact in a 5-10 year timeframe. According to Cleantech, the companies that are listed “represent the most innovative and promising ideas in cleantech and that are best positioned to solve tomorrow’s clean technology challenges”.
