On Tuesday 20 November Cosmo Tech CEO Hugues de Bantel joined leaders from the world of business, the media, and politics at Les Rendez-vous de Bercy in Paris, France.
The exclusive event hosted by the French Minister of the Economy and Finance Bruno Le Maire drew attendees and speakers from across Europe to address three major economic themes: disruptive technologies, technological transformation, and the new global economic order. Among the high profile speakers were Nobel laureates Jean Tirole and Edmund Phelps, former British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, business leaders Isabelle Kouchner, Tidjane Thiam, Christel Heydemann, and Alexandre Bompard, and European Commissioner for Competition Margrethe Vestager.
De Bantel was impressed by the talent gathered for the event and commented on the challenges that the invited guests shared with the audience.
“One consistent theme was digital transformation and the challenges that this transformation poses for businesses and, indeed, entire economy,” he said. “It’s clear that this is an economy-level event, not a simple challenge for small or large businesses. Government, municipalities, big businesses and startups are all being challenged to transform just to keep pace with the rapid rate of change. In this context there are clear opportunities for a technology company like Cosmo Tech to help established firms successfully negotiate their digital and technological change.”
