Cosmo Tech is one of eight finalists heading to Paris for 10,000 Startups to Change the World.
On Friday, 25 January, Cosmo Tech CEO and co-founder Hugues de Bantel presented Cosmo Tech’s vision to change the world to a small professional jury hosted by La Tribune and BNP Paribas. De Bantel only had a few minutes to pitch the idea, highlighting the value that Cosmo Tech could bring, followed by a small question and answer portion. Cosmo Tech competed in the Deep Tech and Data category; the other categories were Environment and Energy, Industry 4.0, Smart Tech, Health, and Start. Twenty-three startups from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region came to pitch their innovative companies, and six will continue onward to Paris on 11 March to compete against other startups from Strasbourg, Lille, Nantes, Paris, Bordeaux, and Toulouse.
The 10,000 Startups to Change the World competition searches for entrepreneurs who are passionate, ambitious, innovative, and courageous. Looking to change the world by developing new technologies and services, 10,0000 Startups promotes the mindset of “Tech for Good”, bringing the human side and positive impact of technology for social change. Cosmo Tech’s Augmented Intelligence simulation solutions allow decision makers to anticipate in a complex and uncertain world by combining collective human intelligence and artificial intelligence. More recently, Cosmo Tech employees launched a non-profit initiative to aid NGOs and Territories dealing with the impact of weather and natural disasters. This initiative was conceived at Cosmo Tech’s annual company day out, where Cosmonauts were put into groups and developed ideas centered around changing the world. The day proved successful, as multiple projects with real-world applications were envisioned and created.
“At Cosmo Tech, we help decision makers anticipate in an increasingly complex world. Our simulation solutions help C-Levels make the best decisions for their company on some of their most strategic initiatives,” explains de Bantel. “By launching a non-profit initiative around the impact of natural disasters, we want to strengthen our sense of purpose and have a positive impact on the world and society at our level.”
The other winners for the day were Biomede (Environment and Energy), UniVR Studio (Industry 4.0), Veritable (Smart Tech), OZ-Iris Santé (Santé) and Adrenalead (Start). This is the seventh edition of 10,000 Startups.
