Members of Cosmo Tech’s Sales team will be attending the Regional South East European Conference (RSEEC) on 4 October.

Organized by CIGRE’s Romanian National Committee, RSEEC brings together power systems engineers, decision makers, economists, academics, students and others with interest in the domain. The conference also promotes CIGRE as a strong technical organization, capable of contributing to the technical expertise and know-how through its study committees, conference proceedings, and technical documents.

Back for its fourth edition, RSEEC’s theme this year is “Innovation for efficient and effective management, solutions for power systems of the future”. The main topics of this year’s edition are “State of the Technology for electrical networks of the future”, “Electricity – key factor for society development”, and “Challenges in education of power system workforce”. Held every two years, the 2016 edition saw 126 registered participants coming from eight countries, with interests from public and private sector power companies and universities.

Cosmo Tech’s representatives will be opening Session 3 with a tutorial on augmented intelligence for utility asset managers, where they’ll discuss how augmented intelligence from Cosmo Tech’s applications can be used to help utility asset managers and decision makers with their optimization strategies. During this session, other talks will be given by leaders in utilities from other European countries.

With a high attendance of students, RSSEC represents an opportunity for young people to get in touch with specialists in the power field such as power systems engineers, decision makers, and economists. The project “Next Generation in Energetics” also offers an opportunity for undergraduate, master, and PhD students to present their results (both theoretical and technological) in a different context to university, in the presence of power system specialists from over 12 countries.

Thomas Lacroix and other members Cosmo Tech’s Sales and Marketing teams recently attended CIGRE in Paris at the end of August, where Lacroix participated in a round table discussion titled “Digital Transformation of Utilities”.

RSEEC takes place in Bucharest from 3 – 5 October at the University “Politehnica” of Bucharest, Romania. The full schedule can be found here.
